Pockets + Buttons @ Perennial

Missing buttons and busted pockets (or a total lack of pockets) are some of the main reasons we retire old clothes. Learn to re-sew your buttons and repair pockets with Alexis Giger of Little Cliff, a St. Louis-based mending and clothing repair studio. In this class, students will start with basic sewing tecnhiques to sew on buttons and appliqué patch pockets. Each student is encouraged to bring their own garments to troubleshoot and experiment with. The goal of the class is not only to make old clothes wearable again, but to get comfortable using recycled materials and hand-sewing skills to tackle any textile repair!
