Darning, Mending and Sewing @ Craft Alliance

Learn to repair your ripped garments and damaged textiles with Alexis Giger of Little Cliff, a St. Louis-based mending and clothing repair studio. In this class series, students will learn how to repair holes in woven and knit garments using traditional darning and mending techniques. Weekly sessions will cover hand sewing skills, mending by hand and with a sewing machine, and darning on knitwear. Students are encouraged to bring in their own garments to work on and troubleshoot throughout the process. The goal is to build each student's arsenal of mending techniques for future repair projects.
